Introduction: Unlocking Success- Why Aren’t We Sharing the Playbook with Kids?
I’m a proud husband and dad to two amazing adult kids. Over the years, I’ve coached youth sports and now enjoy mentoring young lawyers honing their trial advocacy skills. Sharing success tips—gleaned from both wins and missteps—has always been a passion of mine.
After decades of practicing law, running businesses, and working with startups, I’ve noticed patterns—simple, effective principles that top performers use to thrive. That’s why I wrote Power Moves (and a few other books), packed with actionable insights to help adults level up in their careers and lives.
But here’s the question that hit me during holiday conversations with family: Why stop with adults?
What if kids had access to the same tools—tools tailored to their world? That’s the spark behind this book.
It’s packed with stories kids can relate to, learn from, and use. These aren’t just “nice ideas.” They’re proven strategies for building connections, navigating challenges, and stepping into life with confidence.
The best part? This book and related resources are all free. Whether you prefer to read or listen, the stories and lessons are available anytime on your phone, tablet, or computer. Each chapter even includes a podcast link and I'll be updating the book and podcast with new episodes weekly.
This is my way of giving back. If it resonates, pass it on to another family member or friend. Because when we equip kids early, we’re building a brighter future for all of us.
Start reading—or hit play—and help your child make their first power move today.
